     Jeffersonville Presbyterian Women (PW) support the church wide purpose: Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves;

  • To nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study
We meet the first Monday of the month and begin and end each meeting with prayer and a sharing of joys and concerns. Each month we discuss scripture using the Horizons Bible study.

  • To support the mission of the church worldwide
Our mission focus is on support of community agencies, particularly those that care for women and children; Presbytery of Ohio Valley mission through Camp PYOCA, and global mission through the support of the Fellowship of the Least Coin, a 50 year old global ecumenical women’s prayer movement that uses the least coin from every nation to support programs for women and children that address literacy, health, violence, poverty, and gender issues.

  • To work for justice and peace
Use the PW Justice and Peace calendar to discuss monthly topics and community involvement in human trafficking, teen dating violence awareness and prevention, immigrant workers, homelessness, teacher and nurse appreciation weeks, disability inclusion and gun violence.

     The Presbyterian women at 1st Prez of Jeffersonville supports the St. Elizabeth Home for Women and Children by visiting monthly with a group gathering providing activities for mothers and children.

      All women of the church and friends are invited to the meetings and programs.

To build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the PC(USA) and witnesses to the promise of God’s kingdom.
